Record of Action

Over her time in the Kentucky House, Kim has:

  • Led the charge on public health reform, sponsoring legislation to streamline health departments (HB 129), expand mental health services (HB 153), establish maternal health protections (HB 10, the “Momnibus” bill), and improve lung cancer early detection to save lives (HB 219).

  • Championed parental rights and educational freedom, including measures to allow KEES money for trade school (HB 61) and ensure transparency in school decision-making.

  • Fought the opioid epidemic head-on, crafting bipartisan legislation to expand recovery resources, tighten prescription oversight, and stop the flow of illegal drugs into our communities (HB 344, HB 502, HB 620).

  • Advanced conservative healthcare reforms, from protecting rural health access to establishing the Kentucky Center for Cannabis Research and expanding Alzheimer’s training for healthcare workers.
  • Stood for transparency and fiscal responsibility, sponsoring ethics reform (HB 168) and legislation to eliminate Kentucky’s income tax burden over time.
  • Gotten AEDs in All Schools (HB 331), making sure these life-saving devices are available and training staff and coaches to be ready in an emergency.

Kim’s approach addresses immediate needs while tackling root causes, reflecting her commitment to lasting, meaningful solutions.
